Lemon Balm is a calming herb, from the same family as mint, that is commonly consumed in tea form. A mild lemon tea said to reduce stress and anxiety, and to help improve mood and cognitive decline.

Lemon Balm was used as far back as the Middle Ages to also promote sleep, improve appetite, and ease pain and discomfort from indigestion, including nausea, flatulence, bloating, and colic.

A before bed-time tea made with Lemon Balm and Valerian may help relieve restlessness and sleep disorders such as insomnia.
